Going to another country, and living and studying there was an experience that moulded me for the better. ESIGELEC and its warm community made me feel so welcome and at home right from day one. Even after returning home, I can’t get over the beautiful city of Rouen, the energetic university campus and my special evening walks along the banks of the Seine.

Rouen is a beautiful city with something for everyone: historical sites, restaurants, shops, events held on the banks of the Seine… it’s a very welcoming city with a good transport system that allows you to discover nearby cities such as Vernon, Le Havre, Etretat or even Paris. And Rouen is less than an hour from the beach!

The ESIGELEC engineering degree is highly recognised for the quality of the training and
carries significant potential at the start of one’s career. The knowledge base has brought me
great value and has helped me move seamlessly between positions, technologies and
    organisations since I graduated.

ESIGELEC’s teaching was centered on a practical approach and each course included a hands-on project. The schedule included French lessons, but the number of students in the classes was smaller, and this allowed for better assimilation. My peers came from many countries and cultures, making the study environment rich and diverse.

One of the reasons we chose France as a study destination for our daughter is the top-quality
education that it offers. Additionally, France offers several lucrative aids to students, and
especially to international students, and this made France a very attractive destination for us.

The French
Education System

Universities in France are sought after for their opportunities to conduct research in highly advanced facilities, their close ties with industry, their proximity and access to other European countries, France’s flourishing startup ecosystem and its extensive community of academics.

Higher education in France falls into two sectors:

The collection of Grandes Écoles that offer highly advanced programs in engineering and management, which have much smaller student bodies

The parallel Public University System, which has several departments in various fields and a very large student body
