With almost 44,000 students in a multitude of disciplines, it is impossible to not rub shoulders with them at the festive, cultural, sporting or association events! The students are from 12 major higher educational establishments, namely: the University of Rouen Normandy, INSA of Rouen, the CESI, ESITECH, UniLaSalle, Néoma Business School, ESADHAR School of Art and Design, ENSAN School of Architecture, IRTS-IDS, CNAM, ERFPS and ESIGELEC!
Each year, the town hall invites the students to events, concerts, and plays: The Zazimuts. The Rouen Normandy Metropolis organises a sports challenge called the Rouen Normandy Sup Cup. CESAR, the Conference by the Higher Educational Establishments of the Agglomeration of Rouen organises an international week and publishes the Student Welcome Guide of Rouen.

The Madrillet Technology Park is dedicated to the establishment of innovative companies specialised in environmental technologies, occurring especially in the sectors of energy, mobility, materials, green construction and smart systems.
Nestled in a wooded area, with foot & cycle paths, 7 kms away from the centre of Rouen, Technopole du Madrillet is accessible in just a few minutes from Rouen, by metro and bus lines (one train every 8 minutes). Among several institutions of higher education & research, centres of excellence and vocational training establishments, the Tech park also houses facilities such as – a university restaurant, student housing, a commercial complex and large cultural spaces (Zenith, Parc des Expositions, etc).
